No More Baths

Recommended for ages 6+. The neighborhood kids have a good friend in Jake, an elderly African American man who has let them play on his back lot and keep their secret clubhouse there for years. So when greedy developers try to push Jake off his land, the kids, led by the headstrong son of civil rights lawyers, decide to take matters into their own hands. Using Martin Luther King's principles of civil rights and non-violent protest, they embark on a one-of-a-kind campaign to save Jake's home and their clubhouse-they refuse to bathe or shower! They may be stinky, but their ingenuity and determination eventually make people stand up and take notice (and hold their noses).
