In a cluttered town square (built entirely onthe backlot of the Bucuresti Studios in Buftea), the lonely dressmaker Miss Aurica sits surrounded bymodels posing in her wedding gowns as Bucharest of the thirties passes by and the burden of dreams beginsto take its mad toll.
