One Touch of Venus plus George Pal Puppetoon

One Touch of Venus
Department store window dresser Robert Walker brings to life a statue of Venus who takes the form of Ava Gardner and sets after him in hot pursuit. Directed by William Seiter, whose Hot Saturday was a highlight of William K. Everson's recent visit, One Touch of Venus is based on a musical by S.J. Perelman, Ogden Nash and Kurt Weill; the screenplay was co-written by Frank Tashlin, who went on to write and direct some of Hollywood's most scathing slapsticks.
