Passage Secret

Passage Secret takes place in Paris, a Paris of labyrinths and mazes, of rooftops and basements, a Paris that is a huge gameboard for two children and two adolescents. Taking advantage of the holiday month of August, they burglarize apartments whose tenants are on vacation. Their fences are two women who need the money to pay off debts on their bar. As summer ends, the adolescents painfully learn that the passage to adulthood entails giving up their childhood games, to play a new game, with a new set of rules.
“Passage Secret ventures into the imaginary world of children and adolescents. A world made of mysteries, of treasures, of vows and of treasons. For Jeannot, Nicolas and the two young protagonists of the film, to become adult is to betray and it is well that in spite of themselves they learn that no one can live as he pleases. I would like this film to be received with the pleasure and the seriousness of a fairytale.” Laurent Perrin
