Our DJs are totally dope. And so is Reefer Madness, a loony lecture with horrific dramatizations. We get the lowdown from a high school principal who launches this cautionary tale about brain-addled tokers: “The motion picture you are about to witness may startle you. It would not have been possible, otherwise, to sufficiently emphasize the frightful toll of the new drug menace which is destroying the youth of America . . . Marihuana is that drug-a violent narcotic-an unspeakable scourge-The Real Public Enemy Number One!” Well, it may not be America's most wanted, but it's certainly youth's, at least in the glazed-over eyes of this dopey distress call. The weed-wacked kids in question hang out at a dealer's den, blowin' joints and gagging on giggling fits. From there, it's a slippery slope into the hellfire of premarital sex and murder. That's what happens when you listen to the doobie, brother.
