The Robert Beck Memorial Cinema Presents: "Torque of Illuminatus, Torque of Apparatus..."
An evening of cinéma concrète at the threshold of motion, semi-extinct "instructional" media, para/proto/crypto-cinematic events, and other material investigations of the mechanical mystery which is the cinema. Currently well into its second year of operation, the RBMC features programs of both recent and historical films, with a special focus on unique and ephemeral events. In addition to regular screenings at the Lower East Side's Collective Unconscious, the RBMC presents events at P.S. 1, Exit Art, Anthology Film Archive, and HERE.-Brian Frye
