Join our artist-in-residence at the PFA Theater for an informal salon about her artistic process. Times have radically changed since Goldovskaya began directing films in the former Soviet Union. Those political and cultural changes, in turn, influenced her documentary practice as it evolved from a formal television style to a more personal video-diary. Throughout her discussion, Goldovskaya will intersperse excerpts from her own works as well as those of her students at UCLA.
