Science Fiction: Fact and Farce

Admission $1.75

Recommended for age 7 and older. Clever and entertaining films about outer space starting with Melies' Trip to the Moon (1902), a quaint prophesy of space travel, and ending with Ernie Fosselius' Hardware Wars, the very wacky and funny satire of Star Wars. In between are Powers of 10, 1978, a revised version of the Charles and Ray Eames classic zoom into space; What on Earth? which speculates on what Martians would think of our planet, and K-9000: A Space Oddity, a take-off on another science fiction classic, complete with a canine astronaut who lands on a planet of one-eyed cats.
