is an oppressive little horror movie in which Kim Hunter becomes involved with a cult of devil worshippers as she searches for her missing sister in New York City. Short on physical horror but impressive in the way it subtly suggests the presence of hidden evil. Former editor Mark Robson's first directorial assignment and Val Lewton's most underrated work.
