Based on an actual incident, Shackled Woman traces the gradual breakdown of a young woman, Fitria, described as "the ideal woman: pretty, gentle, quiet and always obedient." Raised under the strict rule of a domineering father, Fitria finds herself unable to cope with adult relations. Jealousy and guilt overwhelm her; when we meet her, she has been shackled to her bed by her family, ostensibly for her own protection.
