This eccentric new wave musical from Australia has all of the energy and much of the charm of the old "let's put on a show" Hollywood musicals of the '30s and '40s. A scarlet-haired Jo Kennedy is Judy Garland to Ross O'Donovan's Mickey Rooney, and together they lead a pack of pub-crawling zanies into the world of rock extravaganzas. All singing, all dancing and very funny, Starstruck is rooted in Beatle-esque anarchic humor but looks remarkably like Busby Berkeley updated.
