Strait-Jacket

Let's face it, Joan Crawford was to the manner born-the William Castle manner, that is, and very bad manners at that. In this horror thriller written by Robert (Psycho) Bloch, our Joan plays a wife who, in a jealous rage, lops off her mate's head right in front of the kid. Following a twenty-year stint in an asylum, she's deemed fit for society and living peacefully with said daughter, who is now Carol Baker with some odd traits of her own. Then (oh, you guessed it?) the ax murders begin again. William Castle is the Sultan of Scary, the Chancellor of Creepy-and the King of Corn. He's having as much fun as we are, but the difference is, he's not sweatin' it. Happy Halloween!
