Swingin' in Harlem, A Tribute to Ellington, Giants of Jazz & the Kool Kats

Four one-hour programs edited by Baker for presentation at the Spoleto Festival in June 1978. Swingin' In Harlem features vintage shorts and clips featuring Edith South, The Savoy Sultans, Chris Columbua, Lucky Millinder, Fats Waller, Count Basie and Billie Holiday. A Tribute to Ellington includes a variety of short sessions, and a performance by the Duke and his Orchestra at Antibes. Giants Of Jazz features the best one-hour TV show ever done on jazz, and those who know what it is know what it is! The Kool Kats pairs two half-hour TV sessions, one with Miles Davis performing with the Gil Evans Orchestra and his own Sextet (featuring John Coltrane), one with the Cannonball Adderly Sextet.
