This breakthrough film documents Mozambique's fight for independence from Portuguese rule, as well as the more recent battles of the Mozambican people against illiteracy, disease, poverty, and underdevelopment - the results of the colonial experience. The links between major Western powers and South Africa toward denying Africans their own land are boldly drawn.
