Tight Spot
A tight script by William Bowers holds the tension throughout this story of a gangster's moll (Ginger Rogers) who is reluctantly sprung from Federal Prison by prosecutor Edward G. Robinson to testify against her former boyfriend, crime kingpin Lorne Greene. Rogers gives the lie to typecasting in one of her finest performances as the brassy, battered blonde who can really turn a phrase. Comedy is skillfully interwoven as she takes the opportunity of her dangerous new freedom to make passes at the police lieutenant assigned to protect her (Brian Keith).
