Women's March Poster Workshop with the BAMPFA Art Lab and Masako Miki

Offsite workshop

For Untitled, San Francisco, the annual international art fair, the UC Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive (BAMPFA) presents a pop-up installation of its Fisher Family Art Lab, a participatory art-making space housed within the museum. Continuing the tradition of collaborating with artists and activists to create political poster art using the museum's Risograph print resource, the Art Lab has partnered with Bay Area artist Masako Miki to produce a new, commissioned Risograph print to coincide with the 2019 Women's March on January 19. The print will be available at Untitled, and Miki will join BAMPFA staff in leading a drop-in poster-making workshop in the BAMPFA at Untitled on Friday, January 18. Stop by and create your own custom poster for the march using collage, rubber stamp, and drawing materials.

This print collaboration coincides with Miki's current solo exhibitions Masako Miki / MATRIX 273 at BAMPFA (January 9–April 28, 2019) and Shapeshifters at CULT Aimee Friberg Exhibitions (January 12–February 23, 2019).
