Works from the Eisner Awards Competition
The Eisner prizes are the highest awards given at the University of California for creativity in the arts. The 1997-1998 Eisner prizes in film and video were awarded to Steven MacDonald and Jessica Vargas. This year's film jury, which included Berkeley faculty members Mira Koppel, Marilyn Fabe, Kathy Geritz, Steve Seid, and Linda Williams, has selected nine entries to be screened this evening in addition to the prize-winning works.
