You'll Never Get Rich

Fred Astaire plays a dance director who joins the army to escape his producer and his affairs, but they (Robert Benchley and Rita Hayworth, respectively) find him in boot camp, and except for a few short spells in the guard house, he proves, however reluctantly, that the show must go on. Astaire is as relaxed and smoothly romantic as always and has a good Cole Porter score to work with. The result is a charming, tuneful, forties musical - made memorable by the exciting pairing of Astaire and Hayworth.

• Please note: Albert Johnson will introduce the 6:15 and 8:05 showings.
