Introduction to Film History
Wednesdays at 3 p.m.
January 21 through May 6
Now in its sixth year, Film 50 is PFA's ever-popular film class, presented jointly with the UC Berkeley Film Studies Program. In this film/lecture undergraduate course for non-film majors, open to the public as space permits, you can enjoy classics of world cinema from the "primitives" to the present, with illuminating discussion by distinguished Berkeley faculty. The course is taught by Professor Marilyn Fabe with guest lectures by her Film Studies colleagues. Each program consists of a lecture followed by a film. All programs are held in the BAM/PFA's George Gund Theater; regular PFA prices apply. Advance tickets are available. January 21, 1998
