At the Berkeley Art Museum, 2626 Bancroft Way
Expanded cinema comes to the Berkeley Art Museum's Gallery B as part of the new Friday night program L@TE.
Out go the fixed screen, orderly seating, and the thoroughly darkened space. In their place: hyperkinetic moving image spectacles glancing off the museum's eccentric architecture and errant acoustics. Each month, we'll feature media artists in performance, generating multi-image, spontaneous sensorial displays drawing on unpredictable film forms, giddy video, and startling digital devices. Think, way outside the box.
