Five Star Final

Admission $1.00

The ruthlessness of big business journalism is exposed in Five Star Final, which stars Edward G. Robinson in one of his early triumphs, as a callous newspaper editor eager to exploit the tragedies of ordinary people for a headline. Karloff is also superb playing an unscrupulous reporter. Some of the minor roles are poorly acted - otherwise, it is a flawless and fast-moving exercise in responsible topical cinema.
