The Handyman (L'homme a tout faire)

The Handyman is a jack-of-all-trades and master of one - falling hopelessly in love with woman after woman, each destined to break his heart. Micheline Lanctot's spirited comedy follows the exploits of this vagabond romantic whose relationship with a married woman finally begins to open his eyes to his own motivations.
The Handyman is the first feature film directed by Lanctot, a critically acclaimed actress (featured in Gille Carle's The True Nature of Bernadette, see March 13) and director of animated films. A highlight of both the Cannes and New York film festivals, The Handyman is described as “a film rich in detail and character (that) honestly reflects a feeling of Québec daily life” (Toronto Festival of Festivals).
