Evidently the first feature film directed by Gregory La Cava, whose later reputation was made with such films as My Man Godfrey and Stage Door. This early venture is set in small town America, with Chic Sale playing the proprietor of the Slippery Elm Picture Palace, as well as the hero of the film he is projecting, and several other humorous rural types. Colleen Moore is featured as the heroine of the movie-within-a-movie.
