Three Little Girls in Blue

"Vera-Ellen's third film was a frothy Technicolor fairytale about three gold-diggers on the prowl for husbands in Atlantic City--with a terrific cast and a fine, tuneful score. The leads were V-E, June Haver, and the incendiary Vivian Blaine (still a few years before her explosion on Broadway as Miss Adelaide in Guys and Dolls). Celeste Holm (hot off the Broadway stage, and her triumph as Ado Annie in Oklahoma) was co-starred, and the numbers included 'You Make Me Feel So Young' and 'On the Boardwalk In Atlantic City.'" --Michael Goodwin
