Poet, journalist, playwright and sportsman, Jorgen Leth is also one of Denmark's leading directors, best known here for the documentary A Sunday in Hell (PFA 7/81). Moments of Play: Leth's most recent film, produced in cooperation with The Lego Group, is also one of his most ambitious. He traveled world-wide, through Kenya, Bali, Hong Kong, Denmark, Brazil and across the United States to create the film, which analyzes the social and cultural elements of the fascination with play in games, toys, theatre and even dance.
