I'm No Angel

As Tira the Lion Tamer in the film famous for "Peel me a grape, Beulah," Mae West utters many an indelicate line, the entendres doubled by her inimitable delivery. Written by West along with Lowell Brentano, I'm No Angel is one of her funniest films, made just before the censors cracked down, after which she was never the same...on film. A young Cary Grant is featured as Mae's society sweetie, and the film is highlighted by the incredible sight of the fearless lion tamer sticking her head into a lion's mouth.
