Something New
Shipman plays "The Writing Woman" who, suffering from writer's block, becomes inspired by a racing bet wagered between a cowboy on his horse and a handsome automobile driver in a new Maxwell motorcar. To the Mexican border they go, and then, for the inevitable rescue, into the desert ("The Land God Forgot") by motorcar. The Writing Woman at last has found the "real, red, and raw" adventure which she craves. "Spectacular driving scenes worthy of Le Mans fill this hilarious and tongue-in-cheek 'commercial' film shot on location in the Mohave Desert of southern California." (Tom Trusky)
