Vivien Leigh is truly radiant in this colorful and engaging spy melodrama set in World War I Stockholm. She plays a British spy posing as a fashion designer (a cover for her frequent trips to Paris from neutral Sweden), whose activities eventually bring her to the attention of her German counterparts. Conrad Veidt is assigned to investigate. The plot gets complicated when Leigh and Veidt fall in love. Not a profound movie, but a very entertaining rediscovery, worth seeing for Ms. Leigh's star performance in only her second major film role.
