Wavelength
Michael Snow's Wavelength explores the realm of “illusion” and “fact” in a compelling cinematic manner. Employing a continuous zoom, Snow delves “into deep space (intermittently disrupting it) through the use of filters, color negative, overexposure until it is finally flattened and abstracted. A minimal narrative unfolds out of four human events.... Wavelength evokes analogies to minimal art through the use of the zoom as a unitary device, as well as to process art through its attitude to making and perceiving.”-Film Culture, Autumn 1967
