520 Interview with artist Elmer Bischoff. Bischoff describes
his artistic influences (Rembrandt, Munch, Renoir, Matisse
and Picasso, as well as the New York artists such as de
Kooning). Discusses the imagery in his paintings and his
attitude toward teaching (at UC Berkeley and SF Art
institute). Discusses some of the artists he taught
(namely Joan Brown) who possessed singular talent.
Possibly taped in conjunction with the exhibition, Elmer
Bischoff: Matrix 55, presented at the University of
California, Berkeley, University Art Museum, Oct. 22 -
Dec. 15, 1982.
