520 The creek certainly didn't look frail. It was clear with
a good brisk current and minnows and crawfish and was
everything a boy could want for company, except it wasn't
deep enough for swimming. So the boy used his ingenuity
and built a dam for a swimming hole, and it changed
everything -perhaps forever. "Swimming Hole" is one boy's
lesson in practical ecology.
