It tells of a philandering monk who takes advantage of a beautiful lady's secret love for Archangel Gabriel. He decides that the best way to gain the lady's favors is to appear to her in the Archangel's form. To accomplish this, he creates an elaborate disguise, including large goose-feather wings and a golden halo. When he visits her that night, she submits to him in an ecstasy of religious zeal. But finally, the monk is proven a fraud and he flees the city, leaving a foolish mother Goose to reclaim her lost dignity. 590 PFA 1612-01-8735. |aWarped but focuses fine; light lines and scratches; color has slight orangish tint 655 7 Shorts.|2mim 655 7 Animation.|2mim 690 0 Czech films. 690 Czechoslovakian films. 700 1 Trnka, Jiří,|d1912-1969. 710 2 Jiří Trnka studio. 710 2 McGraw-Hill Films. 935 GLADN51129700 954 20120801|bMarcive Authority Bib 956 20140224|bPFA migration/merge load 957 OCLC xref loaded 20140928 994 02|bCUY
