520 "As in Yanco, an earlier film created by director Servando
Gonzales and cinematographer Alex Phillips, Jr., the hero
of The fool killer is a young boy. A 12-year-old runaway
is impressed by a story he hears about a tall man whose
job is killing off the fools of the world. Shortly
thereafter he meets Milo (Anthony Perkins), a tall,
strange young man and former soldier who believes that all
people are his enemies. The boy takes Milo to a revival
gospel meeting, and blacks out under the preacher's spell.
When he revives, Milo has disappeared and the minister has
been murdered. Finding a foster home with a storekeeper
and his wife, the young lad is terrified when Milo returns
to take him away. While esssentially an old-fashioned tale
of suspense, the film is distinguished by a moody,
mystical atmosphere"--Audio Brandon catalogue 1974-75.
