520 In his interview in Expanded Cinema, Belson refers to this
film as showing the formation of Adam and Eve and Creation,
or the process of humans changing into gods. The film is
an example of kinetic energy. Shapes and paint on film
quickly pass by while band music plays on the soundtrack.
Black leader separates these images. The sound of a
cheering throng accompanies firework-like images, followed
by male and female visually manipulated faces. On the
soundtrack, a garbled German leader metamorphoses into
electronic music while the picture becomes grids of small
identical units. The imagery becomes more abstract and
utilizes typical Belson forms after this point. Cloud
forms in red and then green washes pass by. Gases swirl
about, representing Creation. At the end, an orb (the sun)
appears out of the gases.
