Notes
  • Hitomi de la Fuente remarks that, "This is one of many films about Jirochō, the yakuza hero. It is typical of its genre, with plenty of swordfighting and a plot centering on revenge and obligation to one's follower or leader. Although often unintentionally amusing, the film is obviously a serious attempt at both drama and comedy, and Mori's 81st film is not effective in either category."
