We are excited to welcome to BAMPFA a late arrival to our inaugural exhibition, Architecture of Life: Gustave Caillebotte’s 1876 painting Le Pont de l’Europe. This classic example of French Impressionism has been on tour as a centerpiece of the groundbreaking Caillebotte retrospective, first at the National Gallery of Art, Washington, DC, and then at the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth, Texas. Stop by to view this powerful work and learn more about its complex composition at a lecture on Saturday, March 5, by neuroscientist Claude Ghez.
