This week, A + D Thursdays welcomes Allison Arieff, editorial director of SPUR, the San Francisco Bay Area Planning and Urban Research Association. A contributing columnist to the New York Times since 2006, Arieff writes about architecture, design, and cities for numerous publications including California Sunday, the MIT Technology Review, Dialogue, and CityLab. Arieff previously served in editorial roles at GOOD, Sunset, and Dwell magazines and as senior content lead for the global design and innovation firm IDEO. She is the author of the books Prefab and Trailer Travel: A Visual History of Mobile America and has contributed to and/or edited numerous books on architecture, design, and sustainability.
