Not much interested in sport, Zetterling found herself fascinated by the “isolation and obsession” of Olympic weightlifters, bringing humor and compassion to her contribution (“The Strongest”) to the 1973 omnibus film project Visions of Eight, alongside fellow directors Miloš Forman, Kon Ichikawa, Claude Lelouch, Yuri Ozerov, Arthur Penn, Michael Pfleghar, and John Schlesinger.
