The film deals with the integration of survivors into Israeli society in the late 1940's, illustrates the agriculture of the time and emphasises the redemptive power of the collective and the curative power of music. 546 Hebrew titles. English narration. 562 Restored version. In 1960, the last known print of the film was lost as a result of a fire in Ben Shemen's dining hall. Seven out of eight reels of an additional copy were discovered in Europe.
