The work looks at the aftermath of the major political changes in the former Soviet Union. The slippery word 'democracy' is examined in the context of the aspirations of ordinary people and is compared and contrasted with the original Greek experiment in democracy. The measured cadences of Harrison's poetry gives the work a haunting Homeric quality and Kidel's direction puts the viewer in the place of the alternately hopeful and bewildered Kazakh people 538 VHS NTSC. 590 PFA 0500-01-8072. |aCONDITION NOTE: Last checked: 2008/03/ 10 Excellent condition. 655 7 Television.|2mim 655 7 Shorts.|2mim 655 7 Personal/independent works.|2mim 690 0 British films. 700 1 Kidel, Mark. 700 1 Harrison, Tony,|d1937- 700 1 Holmes, Andrew. 700 1 Blackford, Richard,|d1954- 700 1 Sabath, Julian. 710 2 KTCA-TV (Television station : Saint Paul, Minn.) 935 GLADN17743928 941 0 PFA 0500-01-8072.
