Alexander Black's ancestral sites in Edinburgh, Scotland,
and his return home to New York City, including six shots
of the recently constructed Empire State Building at
different times of day and night. Includes the following
footage (first half of film has intertitles): Edinburgh:
Castle Hill, Scottish-American War Memorial. The village
of Haddington. Edinburgh: Buccleuch Pend. The Scottish
countryside with sheep. Peebles "Hydro" Hotel. London:
Cricket match at Lords, changing of the Guard at
Buckingham Palace, St. James Palace. Sailing on the S.S.
Washington. Helen Wills taking shipboard golf lessons.
From here intertitles cease. Footage of home with rose
gardens, "#34 Lone Pool," a sign "Look for Amos, Frank
Seaman his hut" [refers to the Yama Farms Inn at Warwaring,
New York], New York skyline, feeding pigeons on the pier.
