Both were given comparable treatment, being fed, dressed, punished, and spoken to like children of the same family. Throughout the 9 months various tests and comparisons were made, as well as general observations. In this film we see comparisons of the two subjects during the last 3 months of the investigation"--introductory title to film. Winthrop and Luella Kellogg, professors at the University of Indiana, moved to Florida to engage in this experiment with their son Donald and the chimp, Gua, from 1931-1932. They later wrote a book about their experiments, The ape and the child; a study of environmental influence upon early behavior. 546 Silent with English intertitles. 590 PFA 1606-04-727. |aCONDITION NOTE: Last checked: August 27, 2003 many scratches, film dirty. 650 0 Infant psychology. 650 0 Chimpanzees|xBehavior. 650 0 Psychology, Comparative. 655 7 Shorts.|2mim 655 7 Anthropological works.|2mim 700 1 Kellogg, W.
