Nescience, and improvised monologue), Jerry Sims.
518 Footage filmed between 1959-1963.
520 The soundtrack consists of an unsynchronized improvised
monologue by Jack Smith, commenting on the images on the
picture. The occasional appropriated music also matches
the images on the screen. The film begins with three men
in a bathroom. One falls into the bathtub (Jack Smith),
then holds up titles for the film. Smith poses like an
odalisque, cavorts, and plays with objects in improvised
motions. The voiceover continues a stream-of-
consciousness monologue, telling the story of Madame
Nescience, a psychic who wanted to be a nun. Smith appears
dressed in flowing robes as the psychic. The films ends
with Smith imitating a little boy and speaking homosexual
innuendos.
