The occasional appropriated music also matches the images on the screen. The film begins with three men in a bathroom. One falls into the bathtub (Jack Smith), then holds up titles for the film. Smith poses like an odalisque, cavorts, and plays with objects in improvised motions. The voiceover continues a stream-of- consciousness monologue, telling the story of Madame Nescience, a psychic who wanted to be a nun. Smith appears dressed in flowing robes as the psychic. The films ends with Smith imitating a little boy and speaking homosexual innuendos. 590 PFA 1612-01-2967. |aCONDITION NOTE: Previous inspection: 25 Oct 1996; magenta; splices; Very good/excellent condition; 5 splices; very light lines and scratches; the two color sections have faded to pink/magenta CONDITION NOTE: Previous inspection: 05 Sept 1992; pink; scratches; splices; Satisfactory condition: heavily scratched; color sequences and some of the inserted black leader have been tape-spliced in, resulting in 14 tape splices; color sequences are pink CONDITION NOTE: Last inspected: 2007/10 /02; Very good condition; color sections faded to pink/ red; very light scratches 650 0 Male homosexuality. 655 7 Shorts.|2mim 655 7 Personal/independent films.|2mim 690 U.S. films. 700 1 Fleischner, Bob. 700 1 Jacobs, Ken. 700 1 Smith, Jack. 700 1 Sims, Jerry. 935 GLADN50874421 941 0 PFA 1612-01-2967.
