New York: Dutton, 1967,|cp. 232 520 A poetic representation of a railroad station. The sound consists of wild railroad station and train noise. Through optical printing, a platform tower is shown within a circle. Train cars come into the station, with Baillie filming closeups of the engines. The landscape around the station is shown. An image of an engineer is printed in negative, and trains are seen reflected off of other equipment in the yard. Throughout, Baillie uses gentle pans, dissolves, and irises reminiscent of early cinema, in particular D.W. Griffith's style. 541 0 PFA 1604-01-2770.
