An intimate gripping journey into the world of refugees displace by war, Captain Andrásovits filmed Slovakian Jews desperate to escape the coming conflagration, travelling by way of the Danube River to the Black Sea and beyond, to Palestine. As the war continues he begins to ferry other refugees: Bessarabian Germans expelled by the Russians in 1940.
