Images of the dancing water streams dissolve into each other, giving the impression the film is cascading from one scene to the next. The film's blue tint adds to this impression. At the end, the figure dissolves into a water spout: he or she was only water, temporarily and magically achieving a human form. 520 A poetic fantasy that follows a mysterious masked woman clothed in 18th-century dress as she walks along the paths in the Villa d'Este gardens confronting various satyr heads carved with the look of lust in their eyes. Hand tinted, shot on black and white and printed on color stock through a blue filter. 541 0 PFA 1608-01-2694.
