Restricted: For PFA exhibition only. 520 "Almost hermetic in its personal references, Eetc is a circuitous attempt to re-animate feelings Larcher held for his sister Elisabeth, the 'E' of the title. This 'feeling' is not logged as dramatic pathos, but as an evocation infecting the image-field. The work, a densely layered reverie, recycles bits of home movies, photographs, quotations, and fragments of music in a continual act of reinvention. A transitional work, Larcher's palimpsest of film images was transferred to video, then further altered and reframed. Rescued from cinema, the work now resides in an electronic and intangible medium. Eetc is finally about the transitory nature of remembrance and its filmic counterpart, the trace"--Steve Seid, Pacific Film Archive program note. 538 Betacam SP NTSC. 563 English language version. 655 7 Personal/independent works.|2mim 655 7 Shorts.|2mim 690 0 British films. 700 1 Larcher, David. 935 GLADN51148205 941 0 PFA 0503-01-9233.
