Massachusetts sophomore Steve Hamill participates in one
of the first American exchange programs to China.
Associated Press reporter Victoria Graham is the first
American correspondent inside China. Shoe company
executive Sam Goldstein commutes to China monthly to
purchase pig hide. Frances Fremont Smith, who teaches
English in China, marries a Chinese man and travels to
Harbin to meet his family.
