Notes
  • No title, credits, or date on film or leader. Clear lab leader at end identifies this as a Jordan Belson film. Belson's spiral logo is printed on at head of film. However, William Moritz claims this is a collaborative work by James Whitney and Belson that was part of a sound and light show series in San Francisco in the late 1950s. According to Sheldon Renan, the series was called the Vortex concerts, and ran from 1957 to 1959 at the Morrison Planetarium.
  • This roll appears to be camera original. A videotape transfer of the film with the music track added (owned by William Moritz) runs at 01:52, perhaps because it was transferred at 18 fps. The music on Moritz' videotape is Haut voltage by Pierre Henry.
  • Jordan Belson states that the film is by James Whitney, and that he suggested the music for the film.
  • Running time at 24 fps: 01:26.
  • Pacific Film Archive collection; non-circulating. CUY.
