520 Home movies shot by the Clifford Jersey, father of the
documentarian, Bill Jersey. Bill Jersey grew up in West
Hempstead, New York. His family was fundamentalist
Christian and the family activities revolved around church,
family and friends. There are many scenes of Bill's
extended family, the Loetzers and the Dunns, his father,
his mother, Alice and his two sisters, Audrey and Janet.
The footage includes family activities such as playing in
the snow, the July 4th parade of the Gospel Tabernacle
Church, trips to Jones Beach and Lake Ronkonkoma, and
family gatherings and Christmases. There is footage of a
trip to Atlanta, Georgia to visit a minister of the Gospel
Tabernacle which includes scenes of Afro-American servants
at work, a fox hunt, and Mt. Vernon. There are also scenes
of the 1939 New York World's Fair, Brooklyn Dodgers
baseball games, Hempstead High School football games and
summer camp at the Nyack Missionary Training Institute. A
